About
I'm Alma Camino - the author, and curator behind this page.
I want to take this opportunity to tell you how grateful I am that you connected with me. My deepest desire is for you to know God personally and to experience Him every moment of every day. I want to remind you, if no one’s told you lately, that you are loved, you are worthy, and you matter.
And that there is always hope, regardless of how dark the valley you might find yourself.
I am a student of God's Word and positive psychology. By ‘trying my best day by day and soulfully winging it,’ I am a mama to four sweet, wild, and wonderful Little Ones.
HELLO!

I'm also an ex-orphan, suicide loss & domestic violence survivor but above all, I am, and so are you - a Beloved Child of Most High and a Victor - for everything that happens to us in this life, happens for us and not against us.
My Why...
One of my greatest desires is to see people thoroughly enjoy the quality of life Jesus died to give us - to actually be truly happy. Not just to read about it or talk about it, but to walk in it and experience true happiness as a daily reality.
In this busy and loud world, we are extremely goal oriented and often we fail to appreciate and enjoy the gift of today. Our fast-paced, high-pressure society urges us to accomplish as much as we can as quickly as we can - so we can accomplish even more. Over the years I have learned that the intense pursuit of accomplishing one goal after another can cause of to miss out on some of the beautiful happinesses that each day carries within itself.
God does have purposes and plans that He wants us to fulfill during our lifetime, but He also want us to enjoy and make most of every day we live.
After years of volunteering and interacting with people I have come to believe that people desperately want to enjoy their lives - to live every day with peace, purpose, contentment, and joy. There's a deep hunger for joy in people's hearts.
I have great news to share with you: God wants you to be happy every day. He truly does. John 10:10 states, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." What a wonderful verse! Jesus not only wants us to simply be alive, but he wants us to enjoy our lives to the fullest! Jesus did not come simply to give us physical life, or to give us "just enough to get through" life's challenges and hardships. You and I were not created to simply exist, pass the time, mope our way through life, dread each new day (oh, how many days I've been there!!!) or trudge through our jobs with our eyes on the time clock, just waiting to leave work and take our misery home. NO!! We were created to enjoy every aspect of our lives, every day of our lives. This is what God wants for us and why Jesus came. He came to impart to us true life - the rich, deep, joy-filled, radical life God intended for us, the kind that is "in abundance, to the full, until it overflows."
You have been given a permission to enjoy your life fully! We must truly believe that God's will for us is to thoroughly enjoy life. You have permission to enjoy today while you are reaching for and embracing tomorrow - not just my permission, but permission from God Himself.
Today and every day I challenge myself and you to go to a new level of enjoyment in our daily lives. Lets determine now that we are going to enjoy where we are today on our way to where we want to be tomorrow. Lets say it out loud; lets stick it on our bathroom mirror; or put it on our screensaver: "I am determined to enjoy today!" And lets influence everyone around us to do the same.
Whoever you are and whatever your lever of happiness, I invite you to step into greater joy. Live with more passion; laugh more; relax more; smile more; do more to make other people happy, and enjoy more. You will be glad you did, and you will accomplish more because we are the most creative when we are the happiest.
I feel very strongly about the importance of enjoying the present as we move towards the future.
In John 10:10, Jesus is saying to each one of us, "I came that you might have life and that you would enjoy it fully." Remember, He died so we could experience true and real happiness. Not sometimes, not once in a while, but all the time. God does not want us simply to have life. He wants us to enjoy and appreciate the gift of life that He has given to us. That begins by realizing and believing God really does want us to make the most every day of our lives.
My own journey towards true and real happiness every day has been difficult and hard. Enjoying daily life was something I had to learn to do. But now that I know how to do it, I wouldn't want to live any other way. My desire is to share with you some of the truths I have learned about the secret of true happiness. And my prayer is that one day you too find yourself enjoying your life in ways you never dreamed possible.
I created this space and space on Facebook where simple, hopeful wisdom meets complex life and I hope you'll join me. Know that your best days are ahead, and together we can impact this world with the message of God's hope, joy, encouragement, and love.
Much Love from my heart to yours,
Alma
